I HAVE A BOOTH!

It's official, I'm a seller.  January 2nd 2012 marks the start of an adventure dabbling in sales.  I've rented a booth at Joe Jitters, a coffee shop in Moose Lake, MN.  With the helpful advice from a friend that already sells there, it went relatively quick & smooth.  The only hiccup was when I locked my keys in the truck while setting up.

I was glad to pull the painted end tables out of the basement.  The pink chippy table fit the spot perfect, although secretly I hope it never sells (don't tell my husband).  I've got on display an assortment of cards, pillows, jewelry & such!

The birch trees are a prop that I consider one of my finer inventions!

I needed to cut a few birch out of my hammock area, so they were put to good use as banner hangers!  Bagging up the ugly cement in burlap was a great disguise.  They are heavy, tall & cumbersome...but once they get where they need to be, it's worth it.  They fit so tightly in the pickup truck bed (at an angle), one more inch would have been trouble!

Push pins work great & things can be strung here & there at all different heights!  They offer a rustic look & vertical possibilities.  The inspiration came from a photograph floating around blogs.  It showed a romantic winter scene with a snowy garden bench nestled beneath a grapevine arbor that was draped with snowflake Christmas lights.  I wanted mobile posts to string lights from, over my bench.  With no snow this year to stabilize my trees, they kept blowing over in the wind.  So, the new INDOOR use was conjured up!

  1. Congrats on your new venture! Selling is a lot of fun...AND a lot of work - but usually worth it. Have fun and enjoy the process. ;)

Hope to see you at Time Travel Thursday this week. Happy New Year!

  2. Ok so I'm a little late but congrats on the new booth! I have two spaces going now and it's a ton of work but so fun!

The tree branches are genius. I might have to borrow this idea for my booth that doesn't have walls!

I'm off to go chat about you on twitter...hopefully it will bring you more followers!
