Welcome Screen

This old screen was transformed into a welcome sign.
Various items were used to make a cluster of flowers.

I found the metal word at an adorable gift shop in Iowa on clearance.
It worked perfectly here! The white hill is half a doily
stitched directly onto the screen!
Green pipe cleaners & star candle tins (flattened) finished it off.
With tiny doilies & gem brads for the centers.

Chippy Blue Pocket Sign

It will be a sad day when I run out of my chippy blue reclaimed wood.
I've made planters, shelves, frames and more from it.
Here is an inspiring sign with a fun jean pocket.

The saying is common, but looks so good in cursive on
the chippy blue wood!  It ties in with the black leaves
stamped on the jean pocket.  The flowers were made
from an old cut up shirt.

I think the pocket would look cute with mail stuffed in it!

Old Linens

I've accumulated many vintage linens & have been
giving them new life by sewing pillows!

These two are made from old pink hankies.

I love giving pillows two sides of color,
so you can flip one around.
These are fresh spring colors
or would be cute in a girls room.

These three pillows are from an old curtain.

This one features a little garden humor.
I stamped the words.
Does this describe any of you???

Are you a country girl?
I am.

These two have the prettiest embroidered doilies:

All these pillows were made from a huge
embroidered tablecloth.

Fairy gardens are all the rage right now,
so I thought this phrase was cute!

Aren't these flowers lovely???
They just scream SPRING!

I found this vintage looking patterned (pillow back)
fabric at my local Ben Franklin store!
It was so pretty, I got it in every color they offered.
