Junk Trunk

We've all got some junk to put in a trunk!
I gave this very ugly thrift store trunk
 a proper make-over.

Before:

Does anyone know what on earth the design is?

Well it's history now!

Here is the new improved rustic trunk
*gypsy style*

It was painted with a flat black called
Forged Iron, then sanded.

I added some dry brush streaking
and dabs in both white & pink.

All the stenciled images & designs
were made using my Cricut machine.

What would YOU store in here?

Books, old quilts, keepsakes.. you name it!

Love Window

Happy Valentine's Day....
here is a little love humor.
Some of you might agree.

This window SO belongs on my wall at home!

Enjoy your holiday with the ones you love.

Sugar Mold

Do you ever have an old item that doesn't fit in your home
decor & you just keep moving it around?
I bought a sugar mold last summer &
have been struggling to find it the perfect spot for months!

At last, it has found a well placed location:

Stacking that mold in a shabby reclaimed wood box
really softened it up enough to blend into
a group of items.  This year I brought my garden angel
inside for the winter.  She is so dreamy & reminds me
of the future growing season.  I can hardly wait!

Love Blocks

My friend had some left over 2x4 block chunks
and had even painted them white.
Of course I took them!

Using my Cricut machine, I cut some "love"
stencils out & stuck them on.
Then I dabbed paint over the word
for a cool messy look.
Chunky ribbon bows finished them off.

Easy & cute!
