Oh Baby!

My youngest is 4 now.  This is so sad, because I adore vintage baby items.  Good thing I have a craft booth & can still enjoy the thrill of buying cute oldies at garage sales.

This charming box sold very swiftly for me.  It had the best crackle image possible.

I wasn't sure if folks would know what to do with it, so I labeled the price tag as "baby keepsake box".  It had a pull out tray on top for smaller items.  That would hold hospital bracelets, rattles & hair locks. It would be perfect for all those newspaper clippings, artwork, photos & more!

*PUMPKINS*

I REALLY AM OBSESSED LOVE PUMPKINS.
I GROW THEM IN MY BACKYARD.
WE HAD A GREAT YEAR FOR THEM WITH ALL THE HEAT.

THIS YEAR I TRIED TO MAKE SOME FUN FABRIC ONES
TO HELP BRING SOME FALL SPIRIT INDOORS.
LETS JUST SAY I GOT A LITTLE CARRIED AWAY!
LAST I CHECKED THE TOTAL OUTCOME WAS OVER 20!!!

I CAN'T TAKE ANY CREDIT FOR THE IDEA.
IT WAS A PINTREST FIND & A GREAT TUTORIAL:

I've sold quite a few, although sales seem to be slowing way down.
Thanks for stopping by MN Junker.
I encourage YOU to try making a fabric pumpkin.

Cross It Off

Well, I can cross Junk Bonanza off my "bucket list".
The event in Shakopee Minnesota mid September was WAY better than I expected.
My mother, sister & I met up there to see what all the fuss was about.

Ki Nassauer signed my tin.
It's going to be featured in the Flea Market style wedding magazine in January!
I picked it up to check it out & the vendor told me all about it.
Of course I fell for it, hook line & sinker.

The story is that a little old lady kept yarn in it, so that explains the hole on the lid.
The price was right & I felt that some creative alterations could give the lid a make-over.

Mom & I splurged on our first cans of Annie Sloan Paint.
I've been aching to try it, so now I can!

I came away from J.B. with lots of chicken scratch notes.
Idea thief?  Guilty.

What did I pass on & now regret?
$45 olive bucket

What else did I buy?

$2 each

$5

$1.50 each

...and 2 tee shirts.

Now, the "biggie" item that I drooled over the most:

Isn't it great?
Way out of my league.

We left the show with smiles and "trucked" home.
