Retro Pansy Chair

This post is exciting because I  L*O*V*E to garden & the junk was free!  I got the cute retro chair at a garage sale for free.  It called my name from the garbage pile.  The ladies at the sale were surely snickering as I drove off with my seat less chair!  I think I was snicker too.  Only a fool would give away such a cute chair with garden possibilities.

I added a (free) dish drain rack to the seat area.  It was a perfect fit!  If I was worried, zip ties would hold it on securely.  I wasn't too worried.  Next I added some cocoa fiber liner that is commonly used in hay racks & wire hanging baskets.  It was $2.39 a foot (3 feet wide).  I had some on hand from last years projects.

THE RESULTS....
Check out those Black Pansies!

  1. What a wonderful idea! Don't you love the pot liners? They work for so many different things. I just saw a couple of those dish drainers while junking a few weeks back-- kicking myself for not getting them.

    love the vintage/retro chair.
