When I was young, I recall giving a tray to my mother for a gift.
It was identical to this one I purchased.
My mom has since painted hers (yes, she still has it!)
with Annie Sloan Chalk paint & used some distress wax.
It looks amazing.
So when I spotted the tray above at a garage sale
for only .50, I knew it had potential.
I took the quick & easy route,
using white spray paint.
It turned out so crisp & sharp.
A few thin coats were required.
The bottom tabs unfold
& the mirror/velvet/cardboard
pops right out!
It actually has some very lovely fine details.
I couldn't resist showing a few bottle creations
and fresh pansy flowers on it.
I am crazy for bottles & have a huge crate full
to tackle. You can expect to see some more
on my blog.
I hope you had a great holiday weekend!
